Am I a follower?

My family members have vowed, or half-vowed, or are trying to blog every day. Me? No. Sorry. I will continue to blog as often as I can. I really would blog more if I could seriously find 15-30 minutes in a day that I wasn't playing mommy, teacher, field trip coordinator, party planner, laundry doer, dish washer, dinner maker, paper grader, toy picker-upper, sleeper.... You get what you get, so don't be upset! =)

I will try to post more often, but not sure what 'often' might mean...

I will say that the Rays are my very distant 2nd team behind the Yankees. But since the Yanks ceased to amaze this year - how about 'dem Rays? I'm watching game 7 now after the CRAZY game 6 that I mistakenly turned off with confidence! I don't think I can stay up for this one either, but I feel good about our 2-1 lead in the 7th inning. Cross your fingers. Nothing is for sure!

Casa De Gunn would of course house any World Series attendees if need be. Payment? Tickets, of course!

Get your green and gold body paint ready! The University of South Florida is having their homecoming festivities this weekend! Pete and I are attending the football game tomorrow and to get into the spirit, I went shopping. They were having a sale on kids collegiate outfits. How could I resist? So, here is the littlest USF cheerleader.



The bows? Yeah - they lasted 5.2 minutes. Not bad for a not-yet-2-year-old!

YEOWCH!

I have a pinched sciatic nerve. I'm also about 4.5 months pregnant. Problem? YES!! The pain stabs me right in the butt. Yeah - right THERE! And the doctor I saw said the only thing I can do is wait it out. Oh, and take two REGULAR strength Tylenol every SIX hours. I'm all for the good drugs. A good muscle relaxer, Novocain, vicodin when prescribed, etc. Well, those are all out. =( She did mention getting a prenatal massage which I figured couldn't hurt. I got one and LOVED every minute. The next problem? The masseuse was so good she 'worked out' the nerve problem leaving my butt with a HUGE purple/yellow/green bruise! I'll take the bruise pain over the sciatic pain, but geez! Couldn't I just NOT be in pain at all? Just an idea...

On a much happier note - I do have to say I'm looking awfully cute in my maternity wear. I'm pooking out nicely even though I am only 4.5 months. I guess it's normal for B2 to pook out earlier, but wow! I'm pooking, baby. I'm pooking!

And, if one more person asks me if we're going to find out if it's a boy or a girl, I'm going to cry. Or scream. Or both. I'm just saying...

I see what the hype's about

I've started reading again. It's been a LONG while, and I tried a few things here and there but I also made a deal with myself that I wouldn't force myself to finish anything. Well, I finished something. And I'm in love....

If you haven't checked out Stephanie Meyer's 4-book Twilight series, please consider it. The website gives a TON of information without giving away anything. There's apparently a movie coming out soon, so if you're going to jump on the bandwagon, you might as well jump now. And the paperbacks are $8.99 at Target. How can you beat that? I'm SO glad I'm a bandwagon kind of girl!

Ugh

So, now that the news of B2 (baby #2) is out, I can moan and groan about my health. If you'd rather not read a downer blog, that's ok with me.

Since I found out I was pregnant, the tiredness has hit me hard. The first time around I was able to crash on the couch whenever I felt like it and then schlep up to bed at a later time. Not so much this time! An active toddler doesn't like it when mommy's laying on the couch. She'd much rather play and run and sing and dance and jump and repeat. So, I'm in bed these days MUCH earlier than usual trying to catch up on sleep.

To continue the comparison, my first pregnancy was really great. I wasn't sick. At all. For one day. I didn't have morning sickness, headaches, body aches, or even a runny nose. Well, you name it, I've got it. My current ailment is a runny nose and stuffy sinuses. And since the good drugs are off the market, I have to grin and bare it. Oh, and I'm still required to play and run and sing and dance and jump and repeat.

All this with school starting next Monday. Hooray.

It's really hard to type sarcasm.....

Um.... Bob and Jen?

So, I think we need to make some adjustments to the guest list at Bob and Jen's wedding. (1) One more person will be attending both the ceremony and reception. However, (2) the person won't eat much and (3) one LESS person will be taking advantage of the open bar. Figured it out yet?





Yep - Baby Gunn #2 is on the way!! YAY! We're still in the OMG phase but the regular evening sickness is making it quite real for me. Yuk. Due date is in March so get your congratulations ready for Big Sister Katie!!
